How to Optimize Your Posts

With a lot of posts floating around in the app - how do you make sure that yours is seen, heard, and responded to?

‍

When to Post

Most neighbors are active on the app after work hours, so posting things in the chats have the highest likelihood of being seen and answered post 6pm in your time zone. If you have something to post in the Buy/Sell/Barter channel, it may be best to post at this time to get the most eyes, as well as posts about events - post at the right time when it really matters.

‍

Where to Post

‍

There are lots of channels to post in on the app. Make sure your content is going in the right channel. Post in “General” for conversation starters and any other topics that may not fall into a specific category, but you want to get eyes on. Use “Buy/Sell/Barter” for selling or exchanging household items instead of throwing them away. The “Introductions” chat should be used for Super Neighbors that want to say hi to new neighbors that join the community and/or neighbors that newly join to introduce themselves and share a bit about who they are. “Town Hall” should be used for issues within the building that may or may not need to be addressed with management. You can post about events that are upcoming in “Social Gatherings” and “Issues/Concerns” should be used to discuss issues going on in the building, that you want your neighbors feedback on.

‍

What to Say

Short, concise, and to the point messages will always perform best. You want to make sure that you are direct about what you need, so when people are scrolling through the chats, they can see the point of your message clearly right away. Getting back to people quickly in the app when they respond is a good practice to build rapport with your neighbors. Be aware of your tone through written word and always try to be friendly to your neighbors!
